¿Dejamos reinar a Cristo, como a Él le gustaría?
Hoy iniciamos la última semana del tiempo ordinario del año 2022, las lecturas de hoy nos vuelven a recordar cómo es dejar reinar a Cristo en nuestras vidas. La segunda lectura hoy nos llena de mucha esperanza en lo que podríamos hacer invitándolo, poniéndolo como el centro de las vidas de nuestras familias y vida personal.
Al igual que los soldados puede que, también nosotros, no entendamos el lenguaje que Jesús emplea desde la cruz. Un cristiano sin formación queda a merced de las confusiones que otros presentan. El Señorío de Cristo lo contemplamos claramente en la Cruz, donde Él da su vida por nuestra Salvación, démosle gracias.
Nos invita la festividad de Cristo Rey del Universo a contemplar su acción, mensaje, presencia, amor hacia el mundo salvado con su sangre, derramada por nuestra salvación. ¿Hemos agradecido todo esto durante este año litúrgico?
Hay una máxima que dice: «Es de bien nacidos el ser agradecidos». Pero no es sólo una muestra de cortesía, es, además, prueba de tener gran corazón y de humildad, y de tantas cosas más. Este agradecimiento ha de ser con todos, pero muy especialmente con Dios, de quien proceden todos los bienes.
Esta semana utilicemos la meditación para valorar mi permanencia durante el año en la Iglesia, en el compromiso, en el servicio, en la vivencia de los sacramentos. Cristo ha caminado con nosotros no nos ha dejado nunca, como Rey nos protege y guía. Y también meditemos en ese regalo que es recibir la vida todos los días, demos gracias por tanto y tanto que recibimos y a veces sin valorarlo.
Que en este día y todos los días, sigan recibiendo las gracias que más necesitan en todo sentido, físico, material, espiritual, emocional. Oremos unos por otros y apoyemos la fe de todos, Dios nos quiere salvar a todos y este es nuestro espacio de apoyo, gracias de nuevo y bendiciones . Paz y Bien.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING - FRIDAY, DEC. 9 AT 6:30 PM
Spread the Joy of the Lord with Christmas Help us prepare for the birth of our Lord by spreading His joy through Christmas Caroling on December 9 at 6:30 pm. Meet at the Parish Hall for some Hot Coco and treats and then caravan to different homes where we will sing Christmas Carols. All singing voices are welcome.

CAMINO PILGRIMAGE 2023 - Sign up by Dec 1 & Prep Walk on Dec 10!
Sign up here to join the team at OLG to walk the final 113 KM of El Camino de Santiago - an ancient pilgrimage route in Spain. We will be departing LA on July 14 or 15, walking El Camino de Santiago on July 17-22, 2023, celebrating the Feast of St. James in Santiago on July 24, and returning to LA on July 26-27. Individual trips are customizable as many in our group will elect to travel over early or stay after on their own. Our initial deadline for sign-up is Dec 1, 2022. Please fill out one form for each participant. Sign-ups after that date will be accepted based on availability. There is a suggested $600 donation per person for those wanting to walk El Camino, plus additional expenses to/from Spain. Fundraising opportunities are available to help support those preparing to walk the way of St. James.
HYGIENE KITS PROJECT
Some of the Youth in our Parish are helping the House of Yahweh by putting together hygiene kits for the homeless. The House of Yahweh South Bay Outreach Center serves people experiencing hardship, so they can attain greater fullness of life.

CONGRATULATIONS to our Senior and Junior Robotics teams for qualifying in Sunday's FIRST Lego League Tournament at Da Vinci Schools, in El Segundo. Both teams will advance to the regional competition happening on 12/03.
The Junior Team presented their research on Agrivoltaics and then completed coded missions earning the prized Rising Star Coaches Award.
Our Senior Team presented their innovation project about phantom energy and won 1st place as Tournament Champions.
