CRISTO REY, CRISTO PRESENTE EN TODO.
Cristo Rey del universo, debemos poner a Crsito a Reinar en todo lugar donde vayamos . Terminando el año litúrgico 2023 y así la última Semana de tiempo ordinario .
La Iglesia por medio de la liturgia que está muy sabiamente preparada y organizada, distribuye los diferentes tiempos litúrgicos, cada año nuevo en la Iglesia lo iniciamos con Adviento. Pero la solemnidad de Cristo Rey nos llama la atención sobre cómo es que Cristo estuvo, está y estará en nuestras vidas como creyentes y en todo lo que hacemos, en todas las áreas de nuestra vida. Porque un cristiano debe llevar su vida cristiana a donde vaya. Nunca nos debemos cansar de dar testimonio de lo que creemos.
Esta solemnidad fue instaurada en 1925 por el Papa Pio XI , en un contexto social y religioso muy distinto al de hoy, nos introduce muy de lleno a una dimensión salvífica de la historia de la humanidad. Esta historia no es simplemente una producción, aunque sea de los mejores valores culturales, sino que los cristianos estamos llamados a dimensionar el mundo para que un día, Cristo, quien ha dado su vida por todos, pueda presentarlo redimido y liberado de todo lo que hoy es oprobio e ignominia.
La Iglesia siempre tendrá sus fieles que creen en Dios, y creen en Jesucristo como Rey y Salvador, Pero también hubo y habrá quienes quieran amenazarla con sus ideas y posiciones ideológicas, posiblemente en atacarla de diferentes formas, Por eso recordamos siempre Iglesia humana y divina, guiada por la Luz del Espíritu Santo, la santísima trinidad es el centro de ella y sus feligreses alimentándose de ella pero también sirviéndola como Cristo sirvió a su pueblo. Él es el centro de todo.
Tenemos que vivir nuestro cristianismo con valentía y siendo testimonios fieles del amor de Dios a su pueblo, pueblo elegido para la vida eterna. Aunque encontremos personas que la discriminan, la niegan, la persiguen y tratan de quitarla del medio, no será posible esto cuando haya cristianos que sigan siendo firmes en la fe en Dios y lo quieran hacer presente en sus acciones día a día, eso es lo que Cristo sea el Rey del Universo.
No perdamos la fe en Dios , en su Hijo presente en los sacramentos y en el Espíritu Santo que habita en nosotros, oremos y sirvamos sin desanimarnos. Dios camina con nosotros, siempre hay un mañana mejor. Bendiciones
This Sunday, we celebrate the Solemnity of Jesus Christ, King of the Universe.
Today is the last Sunday of Ordinary Time, eight days from now we will begin the Season of Advent that prepares us for Christmas. The readings this week tell us of the supreme Shepherd who is Jesus Christ, who will gather the sheep and the goats for the final judgment. All of us, without exception, will have an exam. We will be tested in the love and charity we have carried out in our lives. So stay tuned, let's not hesitate to always do good.
Este domingo, celebramos la Solemnidad de Jesucristo Rey del Universo. Hoy es el último domingo del Tiempo Ordinario, dentro de ocho días daremos comienzo al Tiempo de Adviento que nos prepara para la Navidad. Las lecturas nos hablan del Pastor supremo que es Jesucristo, que reunirá a las ovejas y a los cabritos para el juicio final. Todos, sin excepción, tendremos un examen. Seremos examinados en el amor y la caridad que hemos llevado a cabo en nuestra vida. Así que atentos, no dudemos en siempre hacer el bien.

The eucharistic revival at OLG is officially underway! We encourage you to invite your family, friends, and neighbors to take part in this special movement. Here are some upcoming ways to experience the revival at OLG.
✞ ADVENT SERIES: UNDERSTANDING THE EUCHARIST
This Advent, starting Sunday, Dec. 3, Fr. Paul and Fr. Carlos will lead our Parish into a deeper understanding of the Eucharistic Celebration also known as the Mass. They will explain the holiness within the Introductory Rites of Mass, Liturgy of the Word, and Liturgy of the Eucharist (Part 1 and Part 2). We pray that by understanding the Mass that we become more at one with Jesus Christ as we prepare for his birth this Christmas.
✞ ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT (ABS) CHALLENGE
Take the ABS (Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament) Challenge and find time to attend Adoration at least once a week. Adoration is a quiet time spent before Jesus, present in the Eucharist.

EUCHARISTIC CARAVAN
The fire is spreading! In May 2024 there will be a Eucharistic caravan of pilgrims walking closely with our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament across America to gather at the National Eucharistic Congress. For us who live on the Pacific Ocean side of the U.S., the route begins in San Francisco and then crosses the Rocky Mountains and the Great Plains on foot, covering over 2,200 miles! Join many others in this Eucharistic Procession Experience like no other.

Fr. Paul will moderate an evening with those who want to share their feelings on current events. Fr. Paul will begin with a short teaching on the Catholic traditions on justice, morality, or scripture that might help view the current events from a faith perspective. Every year Hand N' Hand Ministry organizes donations to help parishioners in need for the holidays. Sponsors are free to choose what type of food items and household products to donate, but a suggested list of wanted items is provided too.

ST. MARGARET'S CENTER'S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM 2023
St. Margaret’s Center, a program of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles serves families who live in poverty and reside in the greater L.A.X. area (Lennox, Inglewood, Hawthorne, Gardena, Lawndale, South L.A. or South Bay).
They are in need of toy donations for their annual Christmas Program event, preparing a magical day for approximately 1,000 low-income children and their parents.
Please bring your UNWRAPPED NEW toys to the back of the OLG church (preferred gift range from $15 to $30) by December 10th. Also, we are looking for a few volunteers with trucks to deliver these toys on Monday, December 11. Contact Jamie@ourladyofguadalupechurch.org

PATHWAY TO DISCIPLESHIP WRAP UP & WHAT’S NEXT EVENING
Peace to our Disciples of Jesus Christ who have participated in our first Pathway to Discipleship! You are invited to a one evening reunion, to catch up with one another and learn more opportunities on how you can continue the journey.
The gathering will be on Wednesday, November 29th from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. Like other sessions, we will provide a meal, childcare, Praise & Worship, a presentation, prayer time, and small group discussion. The topics presented will be how to continue your spiritual growth as individuals or in groups, and/or join in our parish ministry of evangelization or serve the parish in other ways. Tis the season of busyness, so the Children and Family Evangelization (CAFE) Ministry is offering parents wonderful childcare services on Sat, Dec. 9 from 5 PM to 8:30 PM. The children will have dinner, crafts and games while parents have the night out.

Many hands make light work! Volunteers are needed at the next Pregnancy Help Center Baby Boutique, where donated used baby items are distributed to our clients. Saturday, Dec. 9th at South Bay Church of the Nazarene, 700 Maple Ave, Torrance. We need help with setting up from 9:00-12:00 and clean up from 3:00-4:00. Also, anyone with a pickup truck to move items from our storage unit to the church would be greatly appreciated! Please contact Jeanine Gallagher at 310-415-0876.
SAFEGUARD THE CHILDREN
How do groomers work?
Groomers start by picking out a potential victim, often a child who is emotionally vulnerable or isolated, or with low self-esteem. Then, groomers will start to slowly build a relationship — bonding over an alleged shared interest and expanding relationships out to build trust with the victim’s family and friends. Groomers work hard to make themselves appear trustworthy and safe, to gain better access to their victims. From there, they can isolate their victims and perpetrate abuse.
