Taking time to read and pray with the Mass readings helps to prepare your heart to receive exactly what God wants to communicate to you. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your mind and heart to hear the Word of God.
Bendiciones.
WORLD MARRIAGE DAY
February 9, 2025
MARRIAGE IS A TRIP AND GOD HAS THE MAP! Gifted pianists or brilliant pediatric surgeons will often speak of their profession as a calling, a pull in the depth of their hearts that only it can fulfill. It is wonderful to have a career or a passion that is a vocation, but in a deeper way, marriage is a Vocation, a call put on one’s heart by God, and a way to love that each person fulfills in a unique way. This World Marriage Day, show the world that this Vocation is truly a pilgrimage of faith and hope in love, because God has the map!
Couples and families, it’s time to elevate your spiritual journey right from the comfort of your own home! Don’t miss out on the opportunity to access resources available to enrich your marriage and family. Even the smallest actions you take are impactful, shaping the love and values your children carry into their future marriages.

TOGETHER IN MISSION
Together in Mission 2025: Gifts of the Heart Annual Appeal This year, as we celebrate the Jubilee Year of the Catholic Church, we invite you to make a special gift to Together in Mission to mark this sacred time of renewal and hope.
As one Catholic community of faith, rooted in prayer, let us reflect on how we can support our underserved parishes and schools in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Did you know that one in every five parishes and one in every four Catholic schools rely on financial assistance to continue their vital ministries? Your generosity directly impacts these communities, providing the resources they need to thrive.
This year’s cumulative Together in Mission goal is $17.7 million, representing the collective efforts of our Catholic family across all five regions. Your parish’s goal and progress throughout the year can be tracked on the Together in Mission Leaderboard at togetherinmission.org. Let us come together to make a difference and bring the love of Christ to those in need. Please consider making a special Jubilee Year gift to Together in Mission today!

Become Part of the Historic Building Our Faith Campaign by helping us now BUILD THE NEW CHURCH STAIRS
We have fully paid off our construction loan! We are debt free! This is a great accomplishment, and we thank everyone. We are Blessed, and I am Grateful!
We are in a position to finish the last step of the Building Our Faith campaign with the new stairs from the church to the Portico.
These New Stairs will provide
1. Easy access to events in The Portico and MPR after Masses,
2. a safe way for parents to walk toddlers to The Portico who need a break during Mass,
3. and these stairs will become the main entrance to the church from the parking lot, using the elevator or school staircase to come up, walk past STEM Lab and MPR, through The Portico and into the church.
We are counting on the income from those still paying their outstanding pledges to build these new stairs. We will give ourselves a loan from our reserves to start as soon as possible, hopefully in a few months. Since the original design of a simple staircase, we have expanded the project to include all that was listed just above. Because of this, and because of inflation, we are going to fall short of paying ourselves back. Would you be willing to help a bit more to finish this project?
Please click here for more information and all the details. After you have learned a bit more about the project, please prayerfully consider helping by filling out the donation/pledge form on the website or call the parish office. Thank You, Fr. Paul

February 8-9 || Books can help children understand difficult situations
All children are bound to experience difficult events as they grow up. When complex situations arise before children develop the ability to fully articulate their emotions, books can help them feel more at ease with feelings of anger, frustration, and sadness. While a book can’t make everything better, stories can often help provide understanding and comfort. The picture book “Wildfire!” gives children a look at forest fires, firefighting and protecting natural spaces. The book can be found at https://a.co/d/7LyZzsX.
