PRAY WITH SCRIPTURE
The readings for Easter Sunday provide us with an excellent opportunity to read & pray with scriptures while imagining yourself as one of the people in the scene. This prayerful way of reading scripture allows us to spend quiet time with Jesus, letting him reveal to you what he wants to through these readings.
Easter Message From Your Pastor
Mary Magdalene went and said to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord” and she told them that He had said these things to her. (Jn 20:18). Prior to going to the tomb that Sunday morning Mary did not understand that the one she called teacher was also Lord of all. It was an amazing Sunday morning for Mary! Every Sunday morning, we too encounter the Risen Lord as we celebrate the Mass on the Lord’s Day. How amazing is the Good News! I pray that we may all come to the same knowledge of Jesus as Mary did, acknowledge him as our Lord, and proclaim the Good News to all we meet. I encourage you to consider registering for our “Follow Christ” experience beginning April 30. Join a group of over 100 people seeking to know better who Jesus is by reading and praying the gospels. Together we will try to follow Him more closely, so that we may more deeply experience the power of his resurrection in our lives today. Registration will close on April 22.

Bendiciones de Jesús Resucitado, el que venció a la Muerte, el que permanece para siempre vivo y presente. Que estas fiestas de la luz de la Resurrección nos encuentren iluminados también a nosotros, a sus familias, nuestra parroquia.
Cuando María Magdalena y la otra María se van al sepulcro con los perfumes, se convierten en testigos de la Resurrección, son las que van a anunciar que no esta en el sepulcro, esta noticia produce que Juan y Pedro corren al sepulcro, y sean testigos de la Resurrección, la anuncian a todo el mundo, la presencian ellos mismos y se extiende por todo lado.
Queridas familias seamos nosotros también los testigos de la Resurrección durante este año, todos los días, nos toca correr y avisar, correr y visitar, es la presencia de Dios la que nos inunda y hace que corramos. Nuestro mundo necesita de familias que vivan, anuncien, proclamen, y se conviertan con la experiencia de la resurrección. Estas fiestas son de salvación, porque Jesús hombre y Dios después de su muerte sube al cielo y nos pide, vayan y anuncien a todos los pueblos que está Vivo, que va delante de ustedes, que está en su casa, que te está llamando, quiere que le sigas y le compartas con los demás.
Recordemos que la muerte, la tumba, la cruz no detuvieron el amor de Dios. Él nos sigue sorprendiendo a través de la cruz porque muchos hombres y mujeres siguen cargando la cruz y muriendo en la cruz, cuando se convierten, cuando la familia se respeta se ama y anuncia su gloria resucitada.
Esta pascua de resurrección es el momento de todos, anunciemos, vivamos, proclamemos, que está vivo, y que Nuestra fe no es vana, porque creemos que Resucitó de entre los muertos y fue al cielo al lugar de donde vino, nuestras oraciones por todos ustedes, que Dios viva y reine con todas las familias de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY

Divine Mercy Sunday is celebrated on the Second Sunday of Easter.
The Divine Mercy message is that God loves us - all of us. Let us recognize His Mercy is greater than our sins, so that we call upon Him with trust, receive his mercy and let it flow through us to others.

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT
TUESDAYS
In the Church from 4-7 PM
Tuesday's Adoration starts with a song in Spanish. At 4:50 PM the Divine Mercy Chaplet is offered in Spanish. Then at 5:50 PM the Divine Mercy Chaplet in English. At 6:50 PM the Benediction. The time in between is spent in quiet prayer before Jesus, who is present in the Eucharist.
La adoración al Santísimo Sacramento del Altar se lleva a cabo cada martes de 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, y comienza con una canción en español. NATIONAL VOCATION AWARENESS WEEK
November 5-11, 2023 is an annual week-long celebration of the Catholic Church in the United States dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations.
PATHWAY TO DISCIPLESHIP WRAP UP & WHAT’S NEXT EVENING
Peace to our Disciples of Jesus Christ who have participated in our first Pathway to Discipleship! You are invited to a one-evening reunion, to catch up with one another and learn more opportunities on how you can continue the journey.
The gathering will be on Wednesday November 29th from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. Like other sessions, we will provide a meal, childcare, Praise & Worship, a presentation, prayer time, and small group discussion. The topics presented will be how to continue your spiritual growth as individuals or in groups, and/or join in our parish ministry of evangelization or serve the parish in other ways. Please join us! EUCHARISTIC CARAVAN, MAY 16, 17, 18
Hop on board the Eucharistic Caravan to walk with Our Lord through the streets of San Francisco as pilgrims move towards Indianapolis for the National Eucharistic Congress this July. A pilgrimage is the simultaneous
movement of feet and soul to encounter God. This is a journey WITH Jesus. With the gift of the Eucharist, Jesus gave us a new way to walk alongside him. Do you want to accompany Jesus this May?

This weekend in lieu of the Maintenance Fund, OLG will hold a special collection for the Holy Land Emergency Relief Fund, to help those who are going through extreme difficulties in Gaza and Israel.
