November 23, 2025
This is the last Sunday of the liturgical year, and so the Church celebrates the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, or Christ the King. This feast emphasizes the true kingship of Christ.
Jesus is a personal Lord who has walked in our shoes and understands our suffering since he himself suffered on the Cross. And he is the mighty Lord whose Spirit permeates all creation, binds us together, and lifts us up from our petty earthly divisions to our glorious fulfillment in the Kingdom of God.

Este será el último domingo del tiempo ordinario y del año litúrgico 2025, esta fiesta indica que ya la siguiente semana iniciará un nuevo año en la Iglesia y con eso un nuevo evangelista y ciclo de lecturas propias para este año del ciclo A, y San Mateo será el evangelista. Este domingo celebramos Nuestro Señor Jesucristo rey del Universo, esto se trata del reinado de Jesús en la tierra, y algo que debemos aclarar es que sigue reinando como hijo de Dios y como Salvador , su reinado se extiende por todo el universo.
La identidad de Jesús es la compasión, su reinado es compasivo y misericordioso, no he venido a quitar la vida sino a darla y darla en abundancia. Obviamente se refiere a algo espiritual pero también a un cambio o beneficio humano, personal, familiar. Tantas veces en los evangelios escuchamos a personas pedir la compasión de Jesús, por ejemplo, el ciego en el camino, dice Jesús Hijo de David ten compasión de mí, el ladrón en la cruz le dice compadécete de mí cuando estés en tu reino. La crucifixión de Jesús es el cumplimiento de su reinado en la tierra y luego se va al cielo de donde vino. Tenemos que proclamar esta misericordia de Dios, porque hay mucho malentendido de parte de algunos que condenan para siempre, y esto no es así, Jesus dice ven y miras donde vivo y luego si quieres sígueme, pero deja libertad, y para la salvación y para tomar la cruz nos deja libres, ve y vende todo, y sígueme, o como le dijo a ´zaqueo baja de ahí , que hoy me hospedaré en tu casa, el invita y acoge a todos los que a Él se acercan con un corazón abierto y arrepentido. ! The father is incarcerated and mother has a tumor near her head with the two youngest on the autistic spectrum.

On Sunday, November 16, we distributed food for our Parish Thanksgiving Food Drive. With your help, we fed 82 people, ranging from 2 years old to 93 years old. Thanks so much to our sponsors, our beloved turkey donor, the Cub Scouts of Pack 860, and volunteers for your tremendous generosity. Special thanks to Pack 860, who also provided food to House of Yahweh families as well.

If you are a parent volunteer and have been fingerprinted previously, you do not need to do it again. Contact the church office if you have questions.

November 22-23 || Facts about psychological grooming
A few weeks ago, we looked at physical grooming and how predators use it to lure victims. Another type of grooming is psychological, in which a predator spends a great deal of time with his or her victim, showering them with attention and making the victim feel a shared connection. When the predator becomes a peer to the child, then he has control. He can then offer special treatment — or threaten to take away that treatment, and even make threats against the child’s family, pets, and other friends. NATIONAL VOCATION AWARENESS WEEK
November 5-11, 2023 is an annual week-long celebration of the Catholic Church in the United States dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations.
PATHWAY TO DISCIPLESHIP WRAP UP & WHAT’S NEXT EVENING
Peace to our Disciples of Jesus Christ who have participated in our first Pathway to Discipleship! You are invited to a one-evening reunion, to catch up with one another and learn more opportunities on how you can continue the journey.
The gathering will be on Wednesday November 29th from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. Like other sessions, we will provide a meal, childcare, Praise & Worship, a presentation, prayer time, and small group discussion. The topics presented will be how to continue your spiritual growth as individuals or in groups, and/or join in our parish ministry of evangelization or serve the parish in other ways. Please join us! EUCHARISTIC CARAVAN, MAY 16, 17, 18
Hop on board the Eucharistic Caravan to walk with Our Lord through the streets of San Francisco as pilgrims move towards Indianapolis for the National Eucharistic Congress this July. A pilgrimage is the simultaneous
movement of feet and soul to encounter God. This is a journey WITH Jesus. With the gift of the Eucharist, Jesus gave us a new way to walk alongside him. Do you want to accompany Jesus this May?

This weekend in lieu of the Maintenance Fund, OLG will hold a special collection for the Holy Land Emergency Relief Fund, to help those who are going through extreme difficulties in Gaza and Israel.
