Today is the Third Sunday of Advent, also known as Gaudete Sunday.
This week, our focus shifts to lighting the pink candle of Joy, as we rejoice in the near arrival of Christ. The Apostle Paul proclaimed a powerful message: "Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I say, rejoice. Indeed, the Lord is near". This timeless call encourages us to embody the joy of the Gospel in our daily lives and to reflect on the good news of the Savior's birth. We are invited to cultivate a spirit of gladness and gratitude throughout this week.

Un Mensaje Del Padre Carlos
Hola, estamos a la mitad del tiempo de adviento. Hoy nos toca ver la gratificación de quienes siguen al salvador del mundo. Desde hoy el texto nos lleva como a valorar más que es lo que ocurre cuando descubres o te tomas la conciencia para ver a Dios presente en tu realidad, familia, trabajo, vida, persona. Y, como leemos, dice que endereza lo torcido y allana lo escabroso, aclara lo oscuro y limpia la mente. Es así como empezamos a experimentar los efectos de haberle dado atención a los pensamientos y acciones de Dios, pues comienzas también a experimentar su acción, sus frutos, como, por ejemplo, comenzarás a experimentar la fortaleza, alegría, esperanza, fuerza, luz nueva, brotes y frutos venidos desde la conversión y reconocimiento del Salvador del Mundo.
La pregunta que manda a realizar Juan el Bautista, el nuevo y antiguo profeta, ¿Eres tú el que ha de venir? Y la respuesta de Jesús, ¿cuál es? Jesús dice o responde con lo que están experimentando los que lo siguen y buscan a la luz del Salvador una nueva vida y manera de vivir a Dios. Y claro un aspecto de este domingo es que nos anuncia, como el que vive en Dios cambia, se alegra, se emociona y se compromete, por eso la Iglesia dice es el domingo gaudete, como que la venida está más cerca es esperanza, alégrense, prepárense, no pierdan la oportunidad. Él está aquí. Amen.

December 2 is National Giving Tuesday, a day to support nonprofits. As we near the year's end, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to our school during the Annual Giving Campaign from December 2nd to December 31st. All proceeds will go towards sustaining and growing our school’s enrichment programs and help keep tuition reasonable despite rising costs.

If you are working with or around minors in the Catholic Church in the parish, sports, clubs, or school settings, you are required by the Archdiocese to complete the Safeguard the Children/Virtus training and a Live Scan, fingerprinted. If you are a parent volunteer and have been fingerprinted previously, you do not need to do it again. Contact the church office if you have questions.

Watch out for fire dangers
Christmas is a popular time to decorate with candles and electric lights, both inside and outside the house. These decorations can be beautiful and festive but also come with the risk of fires. NATIONAL VOCATION AWARENESS WEEK
November 5-11, 2023 is an annual week-long celebration of the Catholic Church in the United States dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations.
PATHWAY TO DISCIPLESHIP WRAP UP & WHAT’S NEXT EVENING
Peace to our Disciples of Jesus Christ who have participated in our first Pathway to Discipleship! You are invited to a one-evening reunion, to catch up with one another and learn more opportunities on how you can continue the journey.
The gathering will be on Wednesday November 29th from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. Like other sessions, we will provide a meal, childcare, Praise & Worship, a presentation, prayer time, and small group discussion. The topics presented will be how to continue your spiritual growth as individuals or in groups, and/or join in our parish ministry of evangelization or serve the parish in other ways. Please join us! EUCHARISTIC CARAVAN, MAY 16, 17, 18
Hop on board the Eucharistic Caravan to walk with Our Lord through the streets of San Francisco as pilgrims move towards Indianapolis for the National Eucharistic Congress this July. A pilgrimage is the simultaneous
movement of feet and soul to encounter God. This is a journey WITH Jesus. With the gift of the Eucharist, Jesus gave us a new way to walk alongside him. Do you want to accompany Jesus this May?
