On this Third Sunday of Lent, the scriptures invite us to reflect on our deepest longings. Just as the Israelites thirsted in the desert and the Samaritan woman sought water at the well, we often find ourselves searching for fulfillment in things that do not last. Jesus meets us in the deserts of our own making, offering us the Living Water of His grace, a spring that wells up to eternal life. As we begin this Mass, let us open our hearts to receive the love of God that has been poured into them through the Holy Spirit.

Es la tercera semana de Cuaresma y las lecturas de hoy son espectaculares, llamándonos la atención sobre lo que sucede después de que entras a tu desierto: viene la transfiguración, porque comienzas a descubrir lo que tu desierto tiene y no es bueno para la persona, y entonces llega el cambio, o la transfiguración. Y este domingo nos viene a refrescar con el agua de la cual, si la aceptamos, la tomamos, la vivimos; nunca más tendremos sed, ¿te puedes imaginar? Es algo profundo y sanador, de limpieza, de satisfacción, de búsqueda en lo profundo del pozo o manantial que representa a Jesucristo en nuestras vidas. ¿Estás listo o lista para el proceso, has visto tu desierto, has recibido novedades o transfiguración? Y si es si pues tienes el agua limpia y clara que te calmara la sed.
La samaritana nos da testimonio de lo que es buscar la salvación y proclamarla, Jesús la invita y a pesar de los problemas entre las razas con Jesús se supera y convierte a la mujer samaritana en una testigo de su presencia y la envía a anunciar su presencia salvadora. Es Jesús quien nos ofrece el agua viva y la invitación es para todos. Paz y bien.

Eucharistic Ministers for Little Company of Mary Hospital
Do you love being an Extraordinary Minister at church? If so, please consider volunteering to give communion to the sick at Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital, in Torrance. Opportunities range from one day a month to as often as you like, weekdays or weekends between 9am and 3pm. You must be an active Eucharistic Minister at your parish. Orientation and training are provided. It is such a gift to bring Jesus to the sick!! November 5-11, 2023 is an annual week-long celebration of the Catholic Church in the United States dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations.
PATHWAY TO DISCIPLESHIP WRAP UP & WHAT’S NEXT EVENING
Peace to our Disciples of Jesus Christ who have participated in our first Pathway to Discipleship! You are invited to a one-evening reunion, to catch up with one another and learn more opportunities on how you can continue the journey.

Hop on board the Eucharistic Caravan to walk with Our Lord through the streets of San Francisco as pilgrims move towards Indianapolis for the National Eucharistic Congress this July. A pilgrimage is the simultaneous
movement of feet and soul to encounter God. This is a journey WITH Jesus. With the gift of the Eucharist, Jesus gave us a new way to walk alongside him. Do you want to accompany Jesus this May?

OCIA - Order of Christian Initiation of Adults
Last Saturday, Nov 8, we were blessed to have 22 adults celebrate The Rite of Acceptance. We joyfully welcome all these Adults and ask our parish community.
Please pray for these men and women as they continue their faith journey in the months to come, preparing for initiation into the Christian faith by Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.
