We celebrate Palm Sunday this weekend! Our solemn celebration of Holy Week begins with the commemoration of Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, followed by the Gospel proclamation of his Passion. Please hold your palms up as they will be blessed during the procession.

HOSANNA IN THE HIGHEST
This weekend at Mass, we receive palm fronds, which we use to participate in the reenactment of Christ's triumphant arrival in Jerusalem, days before he was crucified. In the Gospels, Jesus entered Jerusalem riding a young donkey, and to the lavish praise of the townspeople who threw clothes, or possibly palms or small branches, in front of him as a sign of homage. This was a customary practice for people of great respect. (a)
Palm branches are a widely recognized symbol of peace and victory. The use of a donkey instead of a horse is highly symbolic; it represents the humble arrival of someone in peace, as opposed to arriving in war.(a)
Palm Sunday is the final Sunday of Lent, and the beginning of Holy Week.

Domingo de Ramos, hemos llegado al inicio de la Semana Santa. Tradicionalmente, esta semana iniciamos con el recuerdo de la entrada triunfal de Jesús a Jerusalén y terminamos la Cuaresma, los 40 días, y nos alistamos para vivir en profundidad el triduo pascual, que implica la pasión, la muerte y la resurrección de Jesús.
La Semana Santa es una semana especial para nosotros, debemos buscar tener tiempo para la meditación, silencio, oración, reflexión personal o comunitaria. Y entrar con toda la Iglesia a este triduo que nos recuerda el acontecimiento más importante en la vida de salvación de los hombres y mujeres. Tenemos una serie de signos, oraciones, celebraciones que nos invitan a entrar ahí, entrar al misterio más grande de los cristianos. Es vivir la realidad de Jesucristo hombre y Dios, y que como Dios se dona para nuestra salvación, y nos invita a continuar en nuestra vida presente, haciendo eco de esa realidad salvífica en la Iglesia. Domingo de Ramos es como un aviso de lo que viene, es por eso por lo que tenemos la lectura de la pasión del Señor, como un anticipo de que tenemos que entrar en ese gesto de amor, misericordia, donación, compromiso que os involucra a todos. All children should know their personal boundaries and know that they have a right to be safe in their own bodies. When a child says they don’t want to show affection, an adult should prioritize that child’s boundary. November 5-11, 2023 is an annual week-long celebration of the Catholic Church in the United States dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations.
PATHWAY TO DISCIPLESHIP WRAP UP & WHAT’S NEXT EVENING

Hop on board the Eucharistic Caravan to walk with Our Lord through the streets of San Francisco as pilgrims move towards Indianapolis for the National Eucharistic Congress this July. A pilgrimage is the simultaneous
