Happy Easter! Christ is risen! Alleluia!
After the silence of Lent and the solemnity of the Triduum, we celebrate the triumph of life over death, light over darkness, and love over sin. Let us renew our hope and rejoice in the promise of eternal life, bringing our hearts to the risen Jesus, our Savior.

Easter Message From Your Pastor
The disciples went to the tomb early in the morning on the day of the resurrection, as the sun rose. The sun rises every morning, but Jesus once risen lives forever! He is with us “Even until the end of time.” It is the same sun that comes to us every day, but its appearance is changed by the atmospheric conditions of the particular day; clear, foggy, or stormy. Similarly, the same Risen Jesus is always among us, but the atmospheric conditions of our world can affect how we see him. He is with us even in times of fogginess or storm, in times of feeling lost, confused, in conflict and trouble, or division and war. He is Risen and is with us! Let us look to Him to be our strength and Hope. Let us have the faith to follow him and live as he calls us, even more boldly than ever before! Let us pray for the ability to do that. Let us not let the conditions of the world overshadow the power and Joy of the Resurrection. Let us look for His presence amid the passing atmospheric conditions, like the sun peeking through the storm. His presence is still all around us, and if we look with God’s eyes, we can see signs of Hope and Renewal in our world and church! They are still all around us. Let us ask the Risen Lord for the eyes to see him, and the hearts to be in His Kingdom with Him now and forever, Amen.

Aleluya Aleluya, El Señor ha Resucitado, miren, vayan y lo verán. Llegamos a la cumbre de la Semana Santa y de la Cuaresma, pues nos veníamos preparando para este momento, la fiesta de las fiestas, La Resurrección de Jesús, el Hijo de Dios, Verdadero Cordero inmolado. Nos hemos decidido a vivir este gozo espiritual y nos encontramos con un compromiso grande, vayan y anuncien que Jesús , al que colgaron de una cruz , ha salido triunfante y venció las oscuridades para brillar y resonar entre las comunidades como la buena noticia.La Resurrección es la pascua del Señor, tiempo pascual son 7 semanas o como se le llama litúrgicamente, la cincuentena pascual, este día iniciamos a celebrar por 8 días como si fuera el primer día de la Resurrección. Es un compromiso, nos toca a todos ir anunciando con el testimonio y con nuestra voz que Cristo está vivo. Anunciémoslo y proclamemos su grandeza en la Resurrección. Los hechos de los apóstoles nos llevarán de la mano en estas enseñanzas de la nueva experiencia de los hombres y mujeres después de la Resurrección. Bendiciones .

Our Lady of Guadalupe Community is committed to protecting our youth and children from child sexual abuse. We comply with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ Office of Safeguard the Children and provide the training and education to our ministers to prevent child sexual abuse.
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?
Every Catholic is called to protect the most vulnerable, including children who are at risk for abuse and exploitation.
If you are working with or around minors in the Catholic Church in the parish, sports, clubs, or school settings, you are required by the Archdiocese to complete the Safeguard the Children/Virtus training and a Live Scan, fingerprinted. If you are a parent volunteer and have been fingerprinted previously, you do not need to do it again. Contact the church office if you have questions.

Happy Easter! Along with the celebration of Easter, April is also Child Abuse Prevention Month. Saint Augustine said that we are “Easter People whose song is Alleluia” – living in the fullness of the resurrection drawing all around them to a place of light, wholeness, and the richness of the graces made available to them by the power of the passion and redemption of Jesus. In this spirit, there is no better time to celebrate the protection of children, our most precious gift from God. The Office of Safeguard the Children has created a Resource Booklet to help individuals, parishes and schools plan for Child Abuse Prevention Month. NATIONAL VOCATION AWARENESS WEEK
November 5-11, 2023 is an annual week-long celebration of the Catholic Church in the United States dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations.
PATHWAY TO DISCIPLESHIP WRAP UP & WHAT’S NEXT EVENING
Peace to our Disciples of Jesus Christ who have participated in our first Pathway to Discipleship! You are invited to a one-evening reunion, to catch up with one another and learn more opportunities on how you can continue the journey.
The gathering will be on Wednesday November 29th from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. Like other sessions, we will provide a meal, childcare, Praise & Worship, a presentation, prayer time, and small group discussion. The topics presented will be how to continue your spiritual growth as individuals or in groups, and/or join in our parish ministry of evangelization or serve the parish in other ways. Please join us! Hop on board the Eucharistic Caravan to walk with Our Lord through the streets of San Francisco as pilgrims move towards Indianapolis for the National Eucharistic Congress this July. A pilgrimage is the simultaneous
movement of feet and soul to encounter God. This is a journey WITH Jesus. With the gift of the Eucharist, Jesus gave us a new way to walk alongside him. Do you want to accompany Jesus this May?

This weekend in lieu of the Maintenance Fund, OLG will hold a special collection for the Holy Land Emergency Relief Fund, to help those who are going through extreme difficulties in Gaza and Israel. Last Saturday, Nov 8, we were blessed to have 22 adults celebrate The Rite of Acceptance. We joyfully welcome all these Adults and ask our parish community.
Please pray for these men and women as they continue their faith journey in the months to come, preparing for initiation into the Christian faith by Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.
