Today we celebrate Pentecost Sunday, the great beginning of the Church's global mission. Fifty days after the Resurrection, the Lord fulfilled His promise by breathing the Holy Spirit upon His disciples. This sacred feast reminds us that the Holy Spirit is not a distant memory, but a living fire active in our world today.
The Holy Spirit renews the human heart, strengthening us to forgive, serve, and proclaim the Gospel through our daily commitments. The signs of the Holy Spirit are sometimes small and sometimes great; sometimes they come in the form of inner peace, sometimes in the strength to face what saddens us, encouraging us to pray, meditate, and live in charity toward ourselves and others. He doesn't remove our weaknesses immediately, but He accompanies us and transforms us little by little. Let us allow Him to guide us, encourage us, and fill those spaces we don't understand or can't experience with joy.

Pentecostés es todos los dias, es el momento cuando los discípulos por miedo y temor a lo que había sucedido con Jesús y su muerte, se encierran, y ahi Junto con la madre de Jesus que los animaba seguramente ahi mismo desciende el Espíritu SAnto y los confirma a todos en su labor o misión. La tristeza se convierte en esperanza, y el encierro se vuelve la misión, pues se lanzan a la predicación y a evangelizar en el nombre de Jesús Muerto y resucitado.Esto nos hace ver la fe como una acción y compromiso.
Pentecostés no sigue hablando muy de cerca y nos alienta y nos descansa espiritualmente, pues nos aclara las dudas. El Espíritu Santo viene a renovar el corazón humano, nos fortalece para perdonar, servir y anunciar el evangelio con nuestros compromisos diarios. Las señales que da el Espíritu Santo a veces son pequeñas y grandes, a veces vienen en la paz interior, en la fortaleza para enfrentar aquello que nos pone tristes, nos alienta a orar, meditar y vivir en la caridad hacia mí y hacia los demás.No nos quita las debilidades en el momento, pero sí nos acompaña y transforma poco a poco, lo que vale es que perseveremos en Él.Los discípulos se llenaron de su fuerza en medio de la debilidad y miedo que llevaban. Dejemos que nos guíe, que nos anime, y que llene aquellos espacios que no entiendo o no puedo vivir con alegría. Abramos nuestros corazones a su presencia. Paz y Bien

Lord, You send out Your Spirit to touch the hearts of all people, so that they may believe in You and in Jesus whom You sent. Look kindly on all candidates for Confirmation as they listen to Your voice. Open their hearts to Your Spirit and bring to fulfillment the good work that You have begun in them. As we prepare these teens for Confirmation, make each of us an instrument of Your love. Teach us to appreciate what is holy in others, and to be patient with what we do not understand. Deepen our faith in the Gospel and help us to pass it on by our example. We pray that You will continue to guide us and sustain us. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

November 5-11, 2023 is an annual week-long celebration of the Catholic Church in the United States dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations.

Hop on board the Eucharistic Caravan to walk with Our Lord through the streets of San Francisco as pilgrims move towards Indianapolis for the National Eucharistic Congress this July. A pilgrimage is the simultaneous
movement of feet and soul to encounter God. This is a journey WITH Jesus. With the gift of the Eucharist, Jesus gave us a new way to walk alongside him. Do you want to accompany Jesus this May?

OCIA - Order of Christian Initiation of Adults
Last Saturday, Nov 8, we were blessed to have 22 adults celebrate The Rite of Acceptance. We joyfully welcome all these Adults and ask our parish community.
Please pray for these men and women as they continue their faith journey in the months to come, preparing for initiation into the Christian faith by Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.
