This is the Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time. The Mass readings this Sunday challenge us to think about what it truly means to follow Jesus. Christ calls us to a radical kind of love. One that puts God first, above all other things, and opens our doors and hearts in radical hospitality to others. When we welcome a stranger, we welcome Christ himself. Let us pray for the grace to be true disciples, ready to lose our lives for His sake so that we may find true life in Him.

Bendiciones, la palabra de Dios en este domingo nos pone en nuestra alma y cabeza la idea de dejar todo, renunciar a todo, para buscar seguir a Jesus, lo dice en una forma que hasta asusta, pero se refiere mas bien, a que nada ni nadie me debe impedir a mi , buscar al Senor, convertirme, servirlo, expandirlo, ni mis padres estaran primero que el seguimiento a Jesus, no dice que no ame a mis padres, pero ellos no deben ser un obstaculo para que yo cumpla y realice mis suenos construyendo el Reino de Dios aqui en la tierra. Esa es nuestra tarea, ya vieron en la primera lectura como esa familia recibe gracias, no pensaron solo en ellos, si no que abrieron las puertas al profeta, lo hospedaron, lo sirvieron, ellos vieron en esa oportunidad la ocasion de hacer el bien y de recibir en esa persona a Dios que los visiitaba. San Pablo lo dice de una forma profunda, consideremosnos muertos al pecado pero vivos para la vida con Dios, si morimos , viviremos, pero vamos a vivir si estamos bajo sus ensenanzas y guias. Si le estamos reconociendo , sirviendo, dando un lugar en la vida de mi familia , la mia personal, en mi parroquia en mi trabajo, o sea estas heredando el Reino de Dios, seras bendito y veras a Dios. Amen.

IN OUR COMMUNITY
ACTheals is a Christ-centered association of healthcare professionals, religious, and associates who seek to integrate healing prayer in their professions, ministries and personal lives. ACT provides opportunities for spiritual growth offered in retreats, conferences, healing masses, and prayer groups. We will be offering a summer retreat in July that we would like to share with the local churches.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?
Every Catholic is called to protect the most vulnerable, including children who are at risk for abuse and exploitation.
If you are working with or around minors in the Catholic Church in the parish, sports, clubs, or school settings, you are required by the Archdiocese to complete the Safeguard the Children/Virtus training and a Live Scan, fingerprinted. If you are a parent volunteer and have been fingerprinted previously, you do not need to do it again. Contact the church office if you have questions.

If a minor has had nude or explicit images or videos published on the internet, there is assistance to remove those images online. Take It Down is a free service provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that helps to stop the sharing of explicit images taken of victims under the age of 18. Users can remain anonymous, and do not have to send or share their images to anyone. Take It Down uses public, unencrypted online platforms to remove these images from the internet. NATIONAL VOCATION AWARENESS WEEK
November 5-11, 2023 is an annual week-long celebration of the Catholic Church in the United States dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations.
PATHWAY TO DISCIPLESHIP WRAP UP & WHAT’S NEXT EVENING
Peace to our Disciples of Jesus Christ who have participated in our first Pathway to Discipleship! You are invited to a one-evening reunion, to catch up with one another and learn more opportunities on how you can continue the journey.
The gathering will be on Wednesday November 29th from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. Like other sessions, we will provide a meal, childcare, Praise & Worship, a presentation, prayer time, and small group discussion. The topics presented will be how to continue your spiritual growth as individuals or in groups, and/or join in our parish ministry of evangelization or serve the parish in other ways. Please join us! Jesus is calling us Deeper. He promises to restore and renew his people. This Eucharist Revival Kick-Off will speak about the National Movement, Revival at OLG, and experience our Lord through Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. All are invited!

EUCHARISTIC CARAVAN, MAY 16, 17, 18
Hop on board the Eucharistic Caravan to walk with Our Lord through the streets of San Francisco as pilgrims move towards Indianapolis for the National Eucharistic Congress this July. A pilgrimage is the simultaneous
movement of feet and soul to encounter God. This is a journey WITH Jesus. With the gift of the Eucharist, Jesus gave us a new way to walk alongside him. Do you want to accompany Jesus this May?

This weekend in lieu of the Maintenance Fund, OLG will hold a special collection for the Holy Land Emergency Relief Fund, to help those who are going through extreme difficulties in Gaza and Israel. Last Saturday, Nov 8, we were blessed to have 22 adults celebrate The Rite of Acceptance. We joyfully welcome all these Adults and ask our parish community.
Please pray for these men and women as they continue their faith journey in the months to come, preparing for initiation into the Christian faith by Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.
