26th SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
SEPTEMBER 27, 2026
This Sunday we read the parable of the two sons, where Jesus shows us that God does not merely look for empty promises or outward displays of piety. Rather, He desires hearts that are willing to repent, change, and actively do His will. Saint Paul echoes this by urging us to have the same attitude as Jesus, who humbled Himself out of perfect love for us.
LET'S PREPARE OUR HEARTS BEFORE MASS
Spending time reading and praying with the Mass readings before Mass helps prepare your heart to receive what God wants to communicate to you.
Mass Readings for Sunday, Sept. 27
Un Mensaje Del Padre Carlos
Gracias, bendiciones.
Amen.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS!
Giving with a cheerful heart is one of the ways we show our obedience to God and demonstrate our recognition that we are only stewards of our earthly possessions. God gives to you so He can give through you.
MAKE YOUR CHURCH DONATION ONLINE
We encourage parishioners to go paperless! Many of our parishioners donate online by setting up recurring donations. It is easy and efficient. This also helps our Church in saving costs on envelopes, stamps, paper, etc. If this method aligns with you, here is the link to set it up.
Another easy way to give a donation to the church’s general collection is by text. To get started, text the amount you want to give to 424-360-2500. With your first donation, you will receive a link to enter your payment information. After that, simply text the amount you want to give, and that is it! This is a great way to supplement your online recurring donation.

September 26-27 || Mega events and trafficking prevention
While there is mixed research surrounding major international events like the World Cup and Olympics and an increase in human trafficking, these events can attract predators and those who seek to harm children and the vulnerable. Preparation for these massive events can serve as an opportunity to spotlight trafficking and raise awareness for prevention and protection of the vulnerable. Hotlines and response programs often increase the number of reported crimes and victim disclosures, which helps law enforcement target known trafficking areas or groups. For more information, read the VIRTUS® article “How Major Events Highlight the Need to Protect Children” at lacatholics.org/did-you-know.

OLG School Nondiscrimination Policy
The school, mindful of its mission to be a witness to the love of Christ for all, admits students regardless of race, color, national origin, and/or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.
The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, disability, medical condition, sex, or national and/or ethnic origin in the administration of educational policies and practices, scholarship programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs, although certain athletic leagues and other programs may limit participation and some archdiocesan schools operate as single-sex schools.
While the school does not discriminate against students with special needs, a full range of services may not always be available to them. Decisions concerning the admission and continued enrollment of a student in the school are based upon the student's emotional, academic, and physical abilities and the resources available to the school in meeting the student's needs.
