29TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
October 18, 2026
This Sunday, we join over one billion Catholics across the globe in celebrating World Mission Sunday. This year marks the 100th anniversary since Pope Pius XI first instituted this global day of prayer and solidarity in 1926. Reflecting on this centennial, Pope Leo XIV has given us the theme: “One in Christ, United in Mission.” Let us pray for our missionary brothers and sisters who proclaim the Gospel on the front lines. We belong to God, and so, may we be open to receive the grace to live out our own missionary calling with active faith, a labor of love, and a renewed generosity of spirit.
LET'S PREPARE OUR HEARTS BEFORE MASS
Spending time reading and praying with the Mass readings before Mass helps prepare your heart to receive what God wants to communicate to you.
Mass Readings for Sunday, Oct. 18
WORLD MISSION SUNDAY COLLECTION
This is the one day each year when the entire Catholic Church - every parish, in every country — comes together to pray for and support the missions. Today’s collection is entrusted to the Society for Propagation of the Faith and distributed in the name of the Holy Father, to sustain the Church in places where it barely exists, where it is young, growing, and often facing poverty, isolation, or persecution. There will be a 2nd Collection for World Mission Sunday at every Mass this weekend. If you would like to make a donation, you are welcome to put it in the collection basket or make it online at this link: https://missionsla.org/worldmissionsunday
Thank you for your generosity and prayers.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS!
Giving with a cheerful heart is one of the ways we show our obedience to God and demonstrate our recognition that we are only stewards of our earthly possessions. God gives to you so He can give through you.
MAKE YOUR CHURCH DONATION ONLINE
We encourage parishioners to go paperless! Many of our parishioners donate online by setting up recurring donations. It is easy and efficient. This also helps our Church in saving costs on envelopes, stamps, paper, etc. If this method aligns with you, here is the link to set it up.
Another easy way to give a donation to the church’s general collection is by text. To get started, text the amount you want to give to 424-360-2500. With your first donation, you will receive a link to enter your payment information. After that, simply text the amount you want to give, and that is it! This is a great way to supplement your online recurring donation.
